Ruth Palmer Ruth Lillian Palmer (nee Holakovsky), 96, of Elburn and formerly of Oak Park and Berwyn, died on Sept. 6, 2022. Born on April 2, 1926, she worked as a bookkeeper for a personal injury lawyer. When she lived in Berwyn, she was a very active member of the St. Odilo Parish Altar & Rosary Society, as a Girl Scout leader, and with the Catholic War Veterans. When she moved to Oak Park, she became involved with the Oak Park Women's Exchange and Project Linus. Ruth was the wife of the late Kenneth D.
